Shaping the future of learning since 2005...
2006
Kineo begins to lead the way in quality, cost-effective, rapid elearning solutions, helping organisations to build up their own capabilities and prioritising authoring tools clients can use in house.
2007
Kineo Open Source was created, introducing the global leading education platform Moodle to the business sector, as a low cost LMS alternative.
2009
Kineo US is founded, with the main office based in Chicago and we create an international team to bring the skills and experience of Kineo to North America.
2010
Kineo co-founded Totara, based on Moodle which was primarily used in educational environments, developing this to become the world’s leading open source LMS for business.
2011
The award-winning, responsive, HTML5 Adapt framework was created by Kineo and given back to the community as an open source product.
2012
Kineo became part of the City & Guilds Group; a charity with over 140 years history as a global leader in skills development and apprenticeship schemes.
2015
Award-winning elearning provider Nine Lanterns became part of the expanding Kineo business. It further increased our ability to support businesses to improve performance through learning and technology, particularly in the healthcare, government, education and not for profit sectors.
2019
e3Learning, a leader in learning content and workforce management systems, became part of Kineo, expanding our capacity to provide off-the-shelf learning.
2020
Totara 13 and the Kineo Edition is launched to form a package that provides the best Totara has to offer alongside Kineo’s experience and talent in the LMS sector.
